Horse of the Americas is a national registry raising awreness and preservation of the Colonial Spanish Horse. This is a very colorful breed in appearance and temperment. They are a very social breed, great for families and children, and are known for being gentle. They range in color from black, bay, buckskin, chestnut, grullo (gray), dun, palomino, and cream to name a few. They also tend to have unique markings including roan, tobiano, sabino, overo, dorsal stripes, and zebra striping on the legs. Help us raise awareness for the unique and critically endanged horse breed while also celebrating 2026 and the Year of the Horse.
