I received my first-ever invitation to an International WORLDS meet in South Korea for December 13th.
Five years ago, when I started lifting, competing at an international level wasn't even something I considered. Here I am with 14 meets, 6 Ohio State Records spanning across three different weight classes, four nationals later, and a dream come true. An invitation to compete at the most elite level. A chance at being the best in the world.
Powerlifting has given me so much confidence in who I am as a woman. And I want every woman to experience this, too. I love lifting heavy, and I love being loud, taking up space, and being strong. I?ll never apologize for being me, and I?ll never make myself small again to be accepted.
Any merch that is bought will give me a chance to keep paving the path for women of all body shapes and sizes to find a place where they belong in the gym. A chance for me to continue showing the future generation that being strong is feminine, that lifting heavy is cool, and most of all, being yourself is the only way to be.
As I wrap this up, I am filled with gratitude, tears spilling from my eyes, that I've even made it this far. Because 13-year-old-me needed current me. I overcame negative body image and self-doubt to pursue the best and strongest version of myself in hopes of inspiring other women and girls along the way.
Please consider helping me fund my trip to South Korea. All purchases and tips will go to travel and lodging for my trip compete at IDFPA World's.
