About this campaign
The Intermountain Bird Observatory has been studying Long-billed curlews since 2009. When we first began our satellite telemetry research we were shocked to discover that a large number of Long-billed Curlews are shot each year by poachers. To combat illegal shooting of curlews and other protected species, we've expanded our outreach efforts, including the "Curlews in the Classroom" program and a Hunters' Education outreach effort. As we expand these programs, we need help to cover costs for printed materials like posters, displays, and brochures to help reach as many people as possible with the message: "Know your target, don't shoot Long-billed Curlews!".
Wear your Curlew Crew shirt to become an ambassador for the Long-billed Curlew! Help us spread the word. Proceeds from each shirt will go toward curlew outreach efforts.
Art on the front and back of these shirts was created by Stephanie Coates, the Intermountain Bird Observatory's recently-graduated Long-billed Curlew Master's Student!
