Paint the Town Blue is a county-wide child abuse prevention and awareness campaign that invites the Ellis County community to visibly stand together in support of children and families. Throughout the month of April?Child Abuse Prevention Month?businesses, cities, schools, and residents help ?paint? Ellis County blue through lights, banners, ribbons, pinwheels, window art, and other visual displays that spark conversation, awareness, and hope.

The initiative also serves as a fundraiser for the Ellis County Children?s Advocacy Center, with proceeds directly supporting our core services: child-friendly forensic interviews, trauma-informed therapy for children and non-offending caregivers, and prevention education programs that work to stop abuse before it starts. Unlike traditional fundraising events that often require significant overhead costs, Paint the Town Blue was intentionally designed as a more grassroots, community-focused effort?allowing us to keep more dollars where they matter most: serving children and families.
