Better Natures' current initiative focuses on the critical issue of agricultural runoff-induced eutrophication. Nitrate and phosphate pollution is devastating aquatic ecosystems. These fertilizers trigger an unnatural growth cascade of aquatic macrophytes, plankton, and toxic algal blooms. Biodiversity plummets, and ecosystems are encumbered by excess biomass. Bacteria accumulate to participate in the decomposition, utilizing an enormous amount of oxygen and causing a "hypoxic zone" where many species are unable to live. Mass extermination events, acidification, and severe habitat disruption follows.
We are set to lose 1/3 of every Manatee in the U.S. and Puerto Rico in 2021 due to the loss of sea-grass from agricultural runoff.
This must be resolved now, and Better Natures has a solution. We are working tirelessly to install our pilot recycled steel bioreactor. This practical, cost-effective system is capable of removing 73% of nitrates by converting them into safe di-nitrogen gas, and 93% of phosphates by forcing their precipitation into calcium phosphate.
We are sharing all of the data of this cutting edge technology with other researchers working on this issue, and once our pilot system is installed, we will be able to provide farms through out the Midwest and elsewhere with their own. This is a global problem, and this technology can be adopted across our planet to finally solve this problem.
Something must be done, and we need your help to do it! Please consider supporting our efforts to save countless ecosystems from destruction.
