During the month of January, we are encouraging colleagues to wear these t-shirts on Fridays and Saturdays to promote awareness to human trafficking. Trafficking victims often seek care in emergency rooms, go undetected, and remain in the hands of their traffickers. The combination of Missouri being fourth in the states and Chicago being fifth in the cities for cases of human trafficking and the convergence of multiple interstates creates a high trafficking area for St. Elizabeth's. With increased awareness to the prevalence and signs of human trafficking, we may be able to be that bridge to safety for these victims. Please purchase a t-shirt and wear it proudly in January and show that St. Elizabeth's colleagues care. Funds raised will be used to purchase clothing for our victims of violence.
