Polly the polydactyl came to June's Senior Cat Rescue (JSCR) after finding herself at a shelter. Upon arrival she was taken to the vet for an exam and senior blood work, which revealed she is a diabetic and will need medication for the rest of her life. Senior cats are often overlooked for adoption, languish in shelters, or are euthanized before their time, just because they are older and may need medical support. JSCR provides lifelong care for senior cats, which makes veterinary costs are our largest expense each year.
