Journey was a 6-month-old puppy left to die trapped in a storage tote by the road like garbage in July SC heat of over 100, found barely hanging on and nearly drowning in her own excrement. She suffered a heat stroke and severe, irreversible brain damage. After a few days of receiving the best medical care and chance at recovery possible but with continued decline in cognitive functions, the difficult decision was made to humanely euthanize. Now, even from across the rainbow bridge, Journey continues to inspire people near and far to fight for better protections, so animals do not have to suffer in the horrible and unspeakable way that she did.
