About this campaign

Help Us Celebrate 10 Years in 2025

Looks like your text is -166 character over the limit. Please shorten it to 200 characters or less.

Looking back on our adventures over the past 10 years, we have accomplished so much. Our journey began in the fall of 2015 with a 4 month old stud colt, a yearling filly, some corral panels, a land lease and a dream. Today, we have our permanent location with a fully renovated, 100 year old cottage on 9 acres, a 4 stall barn, a herd of 6 horses who serve in all aspects of our programming, a current contribution of 8 beautiful, healthy Marsh Tackies foaled into the world, and so much more.

Also, did you know?

  • We are the only non-profit that exists to benefit our critically endangered SC State Heritage Horse in its historically native habitat that has an "open barn door" policy welcoming the public
  • The last Marsh Tackies were removed from Daufuskie Island in the 80's due to resort development. We brought them "home" in 2015
  • There are only around 500 registered Marsh Tacky horses in the entire world

In 2025, we are looking forward to a huge year filled with celebration, gratitude, reflection and excitement. Our focus will be on completing our next phase of capital improvements. When you purchase our apparel through the Bonfire platform, proceeds go directly towards funding our next project, a pole barn. When complete, our pole barn will include foaling stalls, a classroom space, an apartment space, and a flexible open space for gatherings and special events, enabling us to further fulfill our mission.
