2025 marks 50 years since Southeast Asians first left Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam, fleeing war and genocide. Many came to the United States as part of the largest community of refugees ever to be resettled in this country and have left an indelible mark on our nation. These brave individuals -- and now, their children, and their children's children -- have forever shaped the communities they call home.
In commoration of this groundbreaking moment, SEARAC is celebrating our ongoing advocacy work to meet the needs of Southeast Asian Americans nationwide with new and re-issued designs in our Bonfire merch shop. We have commissioned five designs from five Southeast Asian American artists, inviting them to reflect on what this 50th anniversary means to them and their families. SEARAC is also thrilled to bring back previous beloved designs from Southeast Asian American artists -- in case you missed them the first time or want to give one to a friend!
