The MexiMutt Project was born when our founder, Angela Adams, returned home after volunteering at a spay and neuter clinic in Jalisco, Mexico with a great desire to do more to help this community. It?s estimated that 70% of Mexico?s 18 million dogs live on the street, either born as strays or abandoned by their owners, the largest number of street dogs in Latin America. Born Again Pit Bull Rescue?s mission is to save lives by keeping dogs out of local shelters through spay and neuter assistance, owner and shelter support programs, and community education. Working with local partners and thanks to our generous donors, we are able to expand our mission and help the street dogs of Mexico, while continuing to support dogs in need in the Northwest. With the MexiMutt Project, our goals are to:
Fund free spay and neuter clinics for the local community in Jalisco, Mexico at least 4 times a year. $2,000 per clinic
Care for the feral street dog population with food, sterilization and flea treatment.
$40 per dog for sterilization, $125 per week for food, and $10 per dog for flea treatment.
Vet, sterilize and transport abandoned street dogs that can be adopted in the US.
$150 for vetting and $150 for a freedom flight
