Music In Motion is a program of Hearts In Motion that was created in 2014 in loving memory of Ian Jerdon, younger brother of program director, Alyssa.

We all know the power of music. It has the ability to connect us and transport us to another time or place. It is Music In Motion's mission to change lives through music and all the good it provides the human spirit. It fulfills its mission by providing tuition free music lessons to children in two locations in Guatemala.

Not only does music provide spiritual and emotional nourishment, learning how to play an instrument teaches us life skills such as determination, discipline, responsibility, team work and focus. The confidence each child gains from this program is priceless; giving them the ability to face the world and its challenges with new found inner determination and strength to succeed.

It is through Hearts In Motion and Ian's sister, Alyssa, that this program came to be and it is our sincere hope that Music In Motion will provide for its students what music provided Ian and the people touched by his music.
