Oregon Potters Association, Clay in Education, K-12 Artist in Residence program works to bring ceramic artists to K-12 schools.
Ceramic artists partner with a classroom teacher and/or after school program to bring ceramic education and creativity to students.
Each residence is fully funded through grants, donations and sponsorship making it accessible for all schools and communities. Funding supports the cost of materials, firing the work and artist stipend.
Residencies are 40 hours and can be completed all at once or over the course of a series of weeks.
All ceramic artists complete trauma informed care training before their residency.
Each artist brings their unique creativity and practice to their residency while collaborating with the community they are serving.
