Animal Protective Assn

The Animal Protective Association (APA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the welfare of animals, specifically cats. Through their Platinum LEED adoption center, Harmony House for Cats, the APA provides a cageless, no-kill shelter for cats in Chicago, Illinois. The APA relies on the support of donors and volunteers to provide veterinary care, medications, food, litter, and supplies for all the cats and kittens in their care. Additionally, the APA advocates for animal welfare through initiatives such as the ASPCA Fund to End Factory Farming and supporting legislation like Goldie's Act to Protect Dogs in Puppy Mills.
