The Science Coalition, established in 1994, is a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization comprising over 50 of the nation's top public and private research universities. The organization is dedicated to promoting and sustaining the federal government's investment in fundamental scientific research to stimulate the economy, drive American competitiveness, and spur innovation. The Science Coalition aims to educate the American people and legislators about the benefits of federally funded university research and to celebrate the work of legislators, agency officials, and university researchers who promote fundamental research.
