This year marks the third year of the Student Volunteer Abroad Program, and we are beyond honored to continue our mission of being a part of global healthcare. Our journey began with Belize, expanded last year to Greece, and in May 2026, our students and faculty will embark on their next service trip to Panama.
This international service trip is a significant milestone for both students and faculty. It provides nursing students with a unique opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge and clinical skills in real-world settings, especially in communities where access to healthcare is limited. Guided by the belief that quality healthcare is a universal right, this mission represents our commitment to advancing health equity on a global scale.
Beyond the service itself, these experiences are invaluable for personal and professional growth. Students will conduct health assessments, deliver basic care, and work in resource-constrained environments that build adaptability, critical thinking, and cultural competence?essential skills for tomorrow?s nursing leaders.
To make these opportunities possible, we are reaching out to our community and local businesses for support. Every contribution helps empower nursing students to grow as professionals while making a lasting difference in the lives of others across the world.
