This design is a spin on the Pandora of Greek mythology (inspired by a Mucha illustration from 1911) accompanied by puppy Pandora. All proceeds (~ $9 per shirt) will go to the medical expenses of our sweet rescue pup Pandora.
We adopted our puppy Pandora in November 2025 when she was just 10 months old. She had already been through so much?surrendered at only 3 months old with a broken front leg and facing euthanasia, she was taken in by a rescue that arranged for a specialist to reconstruct her leg. Pandora spent months in a loving foster home, enduring crate rest, medications, and rehab. Despite a bumpy recovery, she made it through and was finally ready to be adopted. We knew she would have a permanent limp, but we never could have predicted how amazing she would be. Pandora is boundlessly loving, joyful, spunky, and sometimes mischievous. Nothing slows her down or dims her shine, no matter what she?s been through.
What we didn?t know was that her front leg injury and recovery were hiding a few genetic mobility issues in her hind legs, as well as some healing issues in her reconstructed leg. Pandora is bowlegged with luxating patellas in both hind legs and has hip dysplasia in her left hind leg. The pins used to repair her broken leg haven?t set quite right, and one is now protruding beyond the bone. The good news is that her front right leg?her ?Lucky Leg??is in perfect condition. While Pandora will likely always have some mobility challenges, we want to give her the happiest, healthiest life possible with as little pain as we can manage.
Funds from this campaign will help cover the cost of removing the problematic pin in her front leg and a surgery to address her hip dysplasia. These procedures will give Pandora the chance to run, jump, and play without a future of debilitating pain or arthritis. Unfortunately, pet insurance won?t cover these expenses due to pre-existing conditions. Our next surgical consult is in February, and we?re hopeful for a clear path forward. We?re asking for your help to give Pandora the life she deserves. Any contribution, big or small, means the world to us and to Pandora. Thank you for supporting her journey to a pain-free, joyful life.
