Our fundraiser apparel features a collaboration between our very own Red Road Attire designer and Herbert Stash a well known artist in the spiritual NAC community. This design highlights the interconnectedness of all living things that dwell upon Mother Earth, specifically our Sacred Medicine Peyote, the land, plant life, our four-legged and winged relatives. Honoring the fundamental understanding that all life is connected and intertwined, bonded by the Devine design of the Great Spirit. On the back it features elements of the front design and the words "All things are interconnected and related; Understanding peyote conservation is ecology"
All proceeds will go directly to the Indigenous Peyote Conservation Initiative or IPCI.
What does Conservation and Preservation mean? Why is this so important?
"Preserving the Sacred"
A call to return to traditional spiritual harvest, clean medicine, and spiritual sovereignty.
The IPCI conservation effort exists to sustain the spiritual practices of indigenous peoples for generations to come; promoting health, well being and native cultural revitalization through sovereignty and sustainability of the sacred peyote plant and the land on which it grows.
Successful Peyote access requires a land-base for spiritual and ecological harvest managed by Indigenous conservationists. This strategy for sustainable supply and demand needs to support ongoing efforts for preservation and re-planting, including a regional network of supportive relationships with Ranchers, Indigenous land ownership, leases, nurseries, and a full circle of planting that regenerates the medicine in its native habitat. IPCI is coordinating leases with direct access to a supply that is harvested in spiritually, ecologically and culturally sensitive ways. This will allow for NAC and ABNDN families and Chapters to organize their own pilgrimages and access medicine they know was harvested with prayer and care. They will also be able to engage in giving back to the gardens through their own families participating in replanting the gardens for a future where this sacred land is in balance again."
By supporting you can help in these paramount endeavors, securing the future of sacred, traditional Medicine that has been utilized for at minimum of 5,500 years by Indigenous peoples of turtle Island. This ensures a chance of our future generations to find easement in knowing this sacred medicine will flourish and be obtainable for them in the years to come.
IPCI is excited to kick off this fundraising campaign endeavor #givingtuesday
Honoring spiritual understanding, indigenous thought and philosophy that sharing, giving and exchanging is fundamental to preserving and sustaining. By supporting you receive a piece wearable art that embodies the mission of IPCI and the impactful work they are doing.
