In February 2021 I was showing off our Pineywoods Cattle herd to a visitor to Ozark Akerz. He had come specifically to see the herd and of course when he arrived they were no where to be seen.
We walked down towards the woods and I started calling their names. They answered. As we got to the edge of the woods they were coming up the hill from the stream. When our bull Rocky got to the top of the hill, he stopped and posed so the visitor could get pictures of him. I took the one above.
During the week after the visit, I had some sleepless nights. I occasionally get insomnia and I am often at my most creative at night. The photo of Rocky spoke to me and I ended up painting my own interpretation of it. This is what it I created

I decided to create a new t-shirt design based on the painting. Bonfire is limited to 8 colors, so i toned down the many colors to the design below, gave it a distressed look to make it a bit more organic on the shirt, added our trademark Graze Against The Machine and signed it with the signature I reserve for my art and photographs, M. Ozark Hansen
