After Paul and Silas were beating and flogged severely, they were thrown in prison. despite their discouraging situation, they chose to worship God. And Because of their worship in times of trouble, they were a witness to the other prisoners and guards, and were eventually released. You can find this story in the book of Acts, chapter 16, verses 16 - 40. let this be a reminder that even in times of hardship and trouble, God is making all things work towards the good (Romans 8:28), and that in every situation, he is worthy of our praise (Psalm 145:3).
