Ray, a healthy young man who enjoyed playing travel football, basketball, and enjoys being with his family. On July 7,2025 Ray was hospitalized due to shortness of breath. One week later we learn he has Stage 3 Burkitt Lymphoma/ leukemia. This crushed him and our family mentally. Ever since his diagnosis he has had numerous surgeries, had a double trach placed, been on life support for over 28 days and as of today he been in PICU at MUSC Children?s Hospital over 130 days. Ray is on the way to recovery and our family is in need of financial assistance. I, mom Bobbie Cannon, worked as a travel nurse to take care of my mother who?s a double amputee, and now also have to take care of Ray, who is Trach dependent. Financially, I have become unable to pay the basic bills and have ended up losing my only transportation to and from the hospital. This has left me unable to work, since I do not have transportation to travel. Our family is asking If there is anything that anyone can give to help us out. If you can?t give anything, we ask that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
