About this campaign
This shirt was a collaborative piece between @BirthBruja and @Cosmic.Birth in honor of San Francisco Women Against Rape's 14th Annual Walk Against Rape. SFWAR is a community-based, women of color led rape crisis center. This artwork was created to raise money and awareness for SFWAR's services while illuminating the intersections between reproductive health and rape crisis work.
The term "reproductive justice" was coined by women of color as a radical, inclusive, and intersectional approach that challenges the narrow focus of the mainstream reproductive rights movement. It explores the ways that race, economic status, and gender identity combine to generate a higher risk of exposure to interpersonal and systemic violence with lack of access to reproductive health and other supportive resources. (Gleaned definition taken from Black Women Birthing Justice's "Beyond Coercion and Malign Neglect: The Struggle for Birth Justice.")
May this artwork be a reflection of our magical practices to cultivate justice and liberation. May our actions and intentions be magnified with this transmission <3. May it be so <3.
