On Wednesday, October 29th, 2025, our sweet 2-year-old Aurora (Rory) Averdick was diagnosed with leukemia. What began as a few concerning symptoms quickly turned into every parent?s worst nightmare. Within hours, Aurora was admitted for immediate treatment, and our world changed forever.

Aurora has already begun intensive chemotherapy, which she will continue for the next several months, followed by ongoing treatments for the next two years. The road ahead is long and emotionally overwhelming, but Aurora is strong, brave, and fighting with everything she has.

As her family focuses on caring for her during this unimaginable journey, the medical bills, treatment costs, travel expenses, and the realities of missed work are becoming increasingly difficult to manage. We want nothing more than to give Aurora the best care possible and to be by her side every moment.
