Sable Kennel is located in McKeesport and acts as animal control for over 20 municipalities in Southwestern Pennsylvania. As Animal Control, we are not required to provide veterinary care to the dogs we take in, but we have made the choice to help dogs when we can. We often find ourselves taking in dogs that have urgent medical needs. The Special Account for Emergency Resources (SAFER) was established as a 501(c)3 in December 2024 to help raise money for the medical needs of the dogs in our care. SAFER not only pays for the routine spay, neuter, deworming and vaccine needs of our dogs, but also for emergency surgeries and more extensive medical needs.
Proceeds from every hat sold will help the dogs in our care.
