This is from Little Doug.
This was created using a still photo that I shot of the cabin. I then utilized technology to have that image itself turned into a sort of drawing and took some inspiration from campground logos and things of that nature to build this crest.
At the top of the crest, you will see the integration of a cross. I know certainly for myself, the Sachtleben cabin is one of the largest blessings in my life. It is a place of expectancy, where I expect to meet and see the Lord in the beauty of His creation, in the coming together of imperfect people who can share a sliver of the perfect love that God gives us in the time that we spend together. It is a place that is void of the noise that we encounter on a day-to-day basis. Again, it is a blessed reminder of a sliver of heaven on earth for our family. I hope others feel that way, but that is why the cross is at the top.
The naming of Sachtleben Cabin reflects that Great-Grandpa Walter built the cabin in 1926. He is an important piece of the Sachtleben heritage and those families connected to him by blood.
Underneath the cabin, you?ll see some of the things most of us likely partake in ? the archaic percolator coffee pot, sitting around the fire outside the cabin with friends and family, a rowboat (rowing to the beach/Sand Island, or around to fish in the slough), and a sausage on a skewer. Certainly, my family has taken advantage of the recent addition of Pelkins and what we now dub annually as ?sausage tent.? Hopefully, these things encapsulate the shared experience we all have at separate times during the cabin?s open season.
At the bottom, you?ll see the callout of 100 Years and the bookend year marks of 1926 to 2026.
*I have tried to supply an array of shirt types:
- A classic, inexpensive unisex t-shirt
- A pullover hoodie with extended sizes
- A crewneck sweatshirt with extended sizes
- A Comfort Colors t-shirt for those who like a more vintage aesthetic and higher-quality feel
- A unisex heavyweight t-shirt for men who want a heavier, vintage-style shirt
- A women?s heavyweight option with a boxier fit that also comes slightly cropped
- A youth t-shirt for anyone ordering for their children
All prices have been set to no profit and to get them out to you as quickly as possible. This is on an ad hoc basis ? you order, and that?s it. I will extend the campaign information to my mom and dad so it can be shared via email and people can start ordering.
No profit is being made here. If by some chance there is a miscalculation and shipping is not accounted for and that comes through, we will put it back into the cabin?s kitty. I?m not trying to make money ? I?m just trying to get people t-shirts.
