? About Lone Star HygieneThe Lone Star Dental Hygiene Society (LSDHS) is a grassroots professional organization created by and for dental hygienists across Texas. Our mission is to elevate the dental hygiene profession through advocacy, education, and community leadership.

Our first statewide initiative focuses on advancing professional autonomy?including the ability for hygienists to diagnose periodontal disease, exercise clinical judgment, and participate in self-regulation. We believe Texas hygienists deserve to practice to the full extent of their education and licensure, with a voice in the policies that shape our work.
