Skin to skin is essential for the optimal health and well-being of our babies - and us as new parents! After I gave birth to my son 12 weeks early, skin to skin played a major role in our daily mother infant care. Protecting the Mother Infant Relationship is the foundation of "Mama Bird" and I am proud to have helped many families throughout their transition into parenthood by providing them with information and support.

I am excited to partner with Birth Works Doula Training to bring in the Founder of Kangaroo Mother Care (Skin to Skin), Jill and Dr. Nils Bergman from Sweden to teach an Advanced Birth Worker Workshop called a Kangaroula! Individuals will expand their knowledge in Mother Infant Care directly after birth and how to best support the birthing family.

In celebration of this amazing event, I designed a special Skin to Skin Shirt to promote, support and bring awareness to the importance of skin to skin for new families!
