At Rimrock Learning Center, we believe every child deserves a place to play ? one that?s safe, welcoming, and accessible for all. That?s why this year?s S.M.I.L.E. fundraiser, under the theme ?Be Different,? is dedicated to building an inclusive playground where students of all abilities can learn, explore, and grow together.
Rimrock serves young learners with special needs across the Billings Public Schools district, many of whom require adaptive equipment and accessibility supports. Traditional playgrounds often leave these students on the sidelines. The new inclusive playground will break down those barriers ? creating opportunities for social interaction, gross motor development, sensory play, and joyful movement for every child.
Our goal for this campaign is $455,000, with funding to cover design, accessible surfacing, inclusive play structures, ramps, sensory equipment, and installation. Every dollar raised will bring us closer to making this vision a reality for Rimrock?s students.
