Sprinkles was surrendered to our local kill shelter in December - as soon as I saw her, and her mama, I scooped them up and welcomed them into the rescue.

It soon became clear that not only was Sprinkles paralyzed and incontinent, but her tail was going necrotic and she was displaying some self-mutilation behavior in regards to her legs and tail.

After giving her a few weeks to grow, Sprinkles had surgery to remove her tail and both of her hind legs. She had a complication after surgery which resulted in emergency surgery and being transferred to a 24 hour hospital for monitoring.
