Owner of the Cape Dispatch, Ryan Marshall is a music producer, composer, beat maker, and drummer. He is a degree student at Berklee College of Music, where he majors in music production and engineering. Musically, he enjoys creating songs that are inherently cinematic, blend genres, and mend together sounds from around the world. His lo-fi beats and electronic music projects have garnered hundreds of thousands of streams on mainstream chill-out and summer-themed playlists, in addition to official Spotify editorial and Apple Music lineups. He is a frequent collaborator with popular lo-fi labels such as Chill Moon Records and Lo-fi Pet Records.

Five years ago, he began producing using the Maschine MK3 drum machine and hardware sampler, which he still uses heavily for his current music. Since then, he has expanded his studio and invested in a large array of unique virtual instruments; a few of his favorites include the African kora, Caribbean pan drums, Hans Zimmer percussion, and almost anything by Native Instruments.
