Established in 1985, the Chippewa Watershed Conservancy (CWC) sees a world where communities are enriched by connections to land, water, and wildlife, resources!

The CWC currently owns 26 properties that are operated as publicly-accessible nature preserves. Our preserves are free to enjoy and are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year! Explore them on your own or join us on one of our frequent educational or social excursions.

We also work with landowners to permanently protect private lands through conservation easements.

Overall, we currently protect nearly 5,500 acres across Central Michigan.
