Damian is a brave 4 year-old boy born with Shone?s Complex, a rare and complex congenital heart defect. Since birth, he has faced a challenging road, undergoing four open-heart surgeries to help manage his condition. Despite these efforts, Damian is living with heart failure, specifically chronic diastolic dysfunction, and recently endured the shock of an unexpected cardiac arrest. After this life-threatening event, he was implanted with a pacemaker to help regulate his heart function. Through it all, Damian continues to show remarkable strength and resilience, inspiring everyone around him.
