The past year left me feeling overwhelmed and, at times, hopeless in the midst of so much chaos. As an artist, I found it hard to create while witnessing so many painful things happening across America and the world. I was searching for a way to turn those feelings into something actionable?something that might reach even one person and encourage them to stand up during a time when doing so feels scary.

That spark came while watching an interview with Jane Goodall, recorded just months before her death. She spoke about how even the smallest actions can create great change, and her words deeply inspired me.

This work is the first in a growing series of illustrations honoring the do-gooders of this crazy world, past and present?people who stand up for human rights and social injustices, animal rights, science and education, and our one shared home, the planet Earth. Each piece is paired with their own powerful words, reminding us that even the gentlest actions can change the world.

To help turn inspiration into impact, 20% of profits from each piece are donated to organizations that align with the values and causes of the individual illustrated. It?s my way of ensuring that this work not only tells a story, but actively supports the change these figures dedicated their lives to creating.
