Last year for Miles?s birthday he asked for donations to World Wildlife Fund to help save endangered animals. We were blown away by the response! This year, we were talking about some ideas of what he wanted to do for his birthday this year. Growing up we have listened to the morning radio show, Kidd Kraddick in the morning. One of our favorite things to listen to was when they talked about Kidd?s Kids. This non-profit was started when Kidd found out his wife was pregnant and they found some issues on a sonogram. Months later when his wife gave birth the baby ended up being perfectly healthy, but Kidd never forgot the emotions of hearing his baby should have issues. Because of that he started Kidd?s Kids. He started taking kids, with life-threatening and life-altering conditions, and their families to Disney World. This is a trip of a lifetime for these families. Many spend their little lives in hospital and this gives them a break. It allows them to build happy memories together. Miles, although born with a difference, has been blessed to be healthy. This isn?t something we take for granted. Because of his love for Disney, those that are ?different?, and art he came up with the idea to 1. Design a shirt (which we added a quote he said that encourages kindness no matter how you are born) 2. Draw people?s favorite Disney character or 3. Donate directly to Kidd?s Kids!
