Trooper was a fighter - a senior dachshund with a myriad of health struggles, not least of which were diabetes and severe malnutrition. Rick and Connie brought him to the Sanctuary, painstakingly nursed him back to health, and shared his life and story with their supporters. Trooper became the mascot for our organization, and he was the rallying force behind the efforts to build the current upgraded facility where the residents of The Promised Land Dachshund Sanctuary live and thrive. His online adventures and travels inspired thousands of supporters to "do something." Everyone can DO SOMETHING; indeed, that is the Team Trooper way.
