This design is based off scripture that has meant a lot to me for most of my life, especially this past year of college from 2 Timothy 1. It says:

"6 This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline."

This scripture instills in me what it means to serve on a mission trip, especially somewhere that is so close to my heart like Jamaica. We are called as followers of Christ to serve in the same mission, spreading the gospel and growing His kingdom. By using the spiritual gifts the Spirit has instilled in us, we are able to serve the people of Jamaica, now more than ever after Hurricane Melissa. The heart behind it all is to further His kingdom, spreading His word as we are called to do as His heirs.
