About this campaign
My name is Annie Segarra (aka Annie Elainey) and I am a content creator, YouTuber, and intersectional activist. Your purchase of "The Future is Accessible" apparel will show off your disability pride or your solidarity with the disability community all while also aiding my survival as a chronically ill and disabled person with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and help me to continue my advocacy work.
?The Future is Accessible? is a call for visibility and intersectionality; it is a call to prioritize equity and accessibility, to remember the disabled people in our communities, to integrate them, to uplift them and their narratives.
It is hopeful and observant. Inventions for accessibility are always popping up (even if many non-disabled people mock them as ?lazy?), more and more people are becoming conscious of the inequalities that inaccessibility causes and are working to change that.
It is pride! A lot of internalized ableism keeps people from using devices and tools that would make activities or tasks more accessible to them, so #TheFutureIsAccessible (or #TFiA) is also about shamelessly accommodating ourselves, requesting accommodations when we need them, and providing accessibility when we can!
