We're Tropes Bookstore and our mission is to build community, one book at a time. Right now, we are raising funds to open our own brick and mortar location in North Richland Hills, Texas. Think the 80's sitcom Cheers, meets scholastic book fair (but now you have grown up money!), with cozy sitting areas, and a ton of events for all ages of readers.

Born out of response to a local school district's crusade to ban books in school libraries and classrooms, you can expect to find all of the books the government doesn't want you to read, as well popular new releases (hello, hockey romance and dragons!), and beloved classics. We will also have regular story time events, author visits, book clubs for all ages and genres, and community events out the wazoo.

But independent bookstores don't exist without support. We know you could get your books for cheaper elsewhere, but do you really want to help that Jeff guy buy his 3rd yacht or fund his next $50 billion dollar wedding? Ew, no. Right? RIGHT?! That's right. You're a cool person who supports local businesses. Now that's a purchase you can feel good about.
