About this campaign
?We didn?t come this far to only get this far.??
If you pay full price, the profits go to Neighbors, Inc, an organization doing food distribution to family's who need it (always, but especially now).
Or you can use the discount code LOBBY for 25% off, to get the shirt closer to cost.
This is my kid's number 1 gestalt, that looks like an anti-fascist slogan. Joyner of Neuromess - activist, parent to kid like A-, Minneapolis resident - shared this interpretation which I really love.
??????????
I had an interpretation as a longer arc for liberation. During this crisis in Minneapolis our teacher?s union president, Marcia Howard, who is first and foremost an extremely experienced community organizer (she has been one of the leads at GFS since day one), has adopted the slogan for her rank and file ?We didn?t come this far to only get this far?. Meaning all of their fighting for justice, including the historic 2022 teacher?s strike, was an investment in something greater and they can?t quit now.
When I saw this shirt for the first time, I thought, ?When we reach the threshold of true liberation, when we are asked to risk and sacrifice to ascend to a greater reality for all humans and all Earthly beings and our planet itself, when we are exhausted and afraid and have finally reached our destination only to find an impossible climb we before us, we can?t stay in the lobby. We didn?t come this far to only get this far.?
