1 in every 100 babies born will have a congenital heart defect. On Friday, February 6, 2026, we're wearing red in honor of all the heart warriors, heart angels, and to raise awareness for CHD.
Last year, with your incredible support, we raised nearly $600, which was donated back to two foundations that are near and dear to our hearts. We are still blown away by the love and generosity we received and look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together this year.
Most of you know but in 2023, after detecting a heart murmur at just 2 months old, Valentina was diagnosed with not one, but two different congenital heart defects-supravalvular aortic stenosis and supravalvular pulmonary stenosis. These specific and distinct defects ultimately led us to her rare genetic diagnosis of Williams syndrome. Valentina has been fortunate to not need surgical intervention yet, but her life will always consist of constant routine follow-ups and testing, with the possibility of surgery for repair at some point.
This year's proceeds from our Wear Red for Valentina campaign will be donated directly to the Cleveland Clinic Pediatric Cardiology Department to support future patient and family experience projects.
If you already purchased a shirt last year and do not need a new one this time around, we would still love your support by inviting you to consider donating through the Amazon wish list below for Pediatric ICU patients at the Cleveland Clinic. Any contribution, in any form, is truly appreciated!
Thank you for supporting our family and this cause. We can't wait to see you all in your RED!
