This campaign was created to ensure that talented, committed students can access high-impact trial advocacy training without being limited by financial barriers. Through mock trial, students gain hands-on courtroom experience, sharpen litigation skills, and represent Howard Law with excellence on a national stage.
Because the mock trial team is not part of the law school?s official Trial Advocacy Team, Howard University School of Law bylaws prevent the school from funding competition travel and related expenses. As a result, students must rely entirely on outside support to cover the costs of travel, lodging, and competition fees.
Every item purchased through this campaign includes a built-in donation. A portion of each sale directly supports HU BLSA members traveling to compete in the regional mock trial competition, helping cover essential costs and ensuring that financial constraints do not determine who gets to participate.
By purchasing apparel, supporters are doing more than wearing Howard Law pride; they are investing in the next generation of Black trial advocates, public defenders, civil rights attorneys, and movement lawyers. This campaign represents a commitment to justice-centered legal education, service, and the enduring legacy of Howard Law.
Wear the legacy. Fund the training. Support advocacy in action.
