Women?s Public Leadership Network (WPLN) educates, organizes, and inspires center- and right-leaning women to enter public office across the United States. Through trainings, grant-making, and marketing, we are ensuring that all women can make their voices heard.
It is no secret that women remain underrepresented in political leadership. A functioning democracy thrives on input from diverse voices, and for too long women have been on the sidelines. While many factors contribute to this underrepresentation, the solution is clear: we need to change the narrative and the facts on the ground. More women need to pursue public office, and they need practical, easily accessible resources and support.
That is why we created the Women?s Public Leadership Network. WPLN educates, organizes, and inspires women to enter public office across the United States. One way we are reaching women is by building a network of state-based organizations who are identifying, engaging, and training women to run for elected office, obtain political appointments, and become more engaged in the political process.
WPLN is designed to mitigate the barriers many women face when pursuing public office. We offer tools and opportunities designed to equip women with the knowledge and resources they need, including easily accessible online content and access to a community of like-minded people for support.
We are nonpartisan. And because center-right women are especially underrepresented, we actively seek them out and encourage them to engage in the process. Women who believe in commonsense, pragmatic public policy solutions are often missing in political and policy dialogue. We believe all viewpoints should be represented. Our trainings, grant-making, and marketing resources will be a helpful resource to level the playing field for ALL women to make their voices heard.
Our vision sees young women viewing themselves as tomorrow?s school board member, state representative, U.S. Senator, or yes, even President, because they have the tools they need and can see diverse role models actively serving in public life. When these young women see individuals in public life, they can see themselves. We passionately believe this vision can be realized.
