In 2021, President Joe Biden declared a proclamation deeming the month of September as Childhood Cancer Awareness. 

Chasing Rainbows is a nonprofit made up of 2 soul searching mamas on a mission for advocacy, Change and Awareness.

 Chelsey, a free soul cosmetologist quickly turned Momcologist in January 2020 when her daughter Ruby (4) was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic leukemia B Cell, at the age of 4. Ruby went on to endure 2 years of aggressive chemotherapy treatment. They treated at the University of Iowa Stead children's hospital which was a solid 3 hour drive for them. Chelsey, Steve, Georgia and Ruby had a lot that they faced in those 2 years. Ruby rang the bell in 2022 and currently still free of disease. 

Natalie, ironically another free soul cosmetologist turned Momcologist in January 2022 when her son Sage (3) was diagnosed with fusion positive Rhabdomyosarcoma. Sage is currently in active treatment. He underwent 6 weeks of intense radiation while receiving chemotherapy. 

Natalie and Chelsey instantly became drawn to each other and quickly started a friendship. They are now continually Chasing Rainbows in the storm of their life, regardless of active treatment or remission there is always a reason to search for a rainbow.

That is how Chasing Rainbows was born. With 4% of National cancer institute funding going to childhood cancer, we both knew we needed more for our kids.
