Did you know that Prince George's County holds the unfortunate title of being the largest county in the United States with Breed-Specific Legislation (BSL)? Since its introduction in 1997, this discriminatory law has led to the heartbreaking euthanasia of thousands of innocent pit bulls, solely based on their breed.
In 2023 alone, more dogs were euthanized at the shelter than adopted, highlighting the urgent need for change. It's time to speak up and be the voice for these misunderstood and unfairly targeted pups.
Every pit bull has a story, a wagging tail full of love and loyalty waiting to be shared. Yet, because of BSL, countless amazing pitties have been unjustly robbed of their chance at a happy life.
But together, we can make a difference. We can raise awareness, challenge misconceptions, and advocate for the repeal of this senseless ban. Let's show the Prince George's County Council that we refuse to tolerate discrimination and unnecessary loss of innocent lives.
Join us in our clothing fundraiser campaign to support the fight against BSL in PG County. With every purchase, you're not just buying a shirt or hoodie ? you're contributing to a movement that aims to protect the rights and lives of all dogs, regardless of breed.
Together, let's envision a future where every dog is judged not by the shape of their head, but by the love in their heart. Let's work towards a day when no more pitties fall victim to this outdated and unjust law.
Be their voice! Stand up against BSL! Together, we can make a difference.
