"I think the thing I like best about All Queer No Fear is that it works on a few levels:
1) Actually as a queer/trans person I'm afraid pretty much always because I know people like me are subject to abuse for no reason from time to time. I just told a coworker when she called me courageous that lots of trans folks hate hearing that we're admired for our courage because we actually don't want to be brave but would actually like folks who are in positions of influence to make things safe for us.
2) But also like, as a signal to other people who don't understand or accept queer people that there's no reason to be afraid of us
3) But also, as a helpful reminder to self that it's okay to be fully queer and that there's no need to be afraid because you're fucking great as you are
Oh and also it just sounds fun
I don't have any specific design ideas in mind though when I saw the words in my brain they were BIG and LOUD looking."
I feel honored that I got to help Takira's vision come alive.

The Campaign for Southern Equality strives to build a South where LGBTQ people are equal in every sphere of life.
More than one-third of all LGBTQ Americans live in the South. But our community lacks basic legal protections, faces political attacks, and experiences health and income inequities. LGBTQ Southerners also live each day with courage and strength and are doing heroic work to promote equality in their hometowns. And every day, we hear powerful stories about how the South is changing.
