As the Maritime City, officially proclaimed as such in 1986, Gig Harbor, Washington, is home to a large fleet of working and recreational boats. Originally home to the Swift Water people, the city later became known for lumber mills, boat building and fishing as settlers arrived from the Mid-West, Croatia, and Scandinavia.
This shirt celebrates each person who is "anchored in the harbor" whether it be home, visit, or heritage. Gig Harbor is the "one and only" as penned by the mapmakers of the Wilkes American Exploring Expedition of 1841.
