We cannot RESCUE our way out of the overwhelming stray pet population in our small county! In the short four and a half years ARCC has been open we have saved/adopted out over 400 animals and have microchipped over 600 dogs and cats. We are proud of the work we have done and grateful for the support of so many that contributed greatly in allowing us to save all those animals. But in the past year we have lost over half of our small group of volunteers. The future of ARCC is bleak. The few of us left cannot continue to take dogs in and run ourselves ragged trying to do everything that needs to be done day in and day out. Drastic times call for drastic changes. We want to continue to help make a difference in our community so we are trying to think "outside the box". Therefore, in order to reduce the number of pets that are dumped or surrendered in Crosby County, we are starting a new campaign that focuses solely on raising funds through fundraisers like this one and others, and by soliciting donors directly, specifically for funds to provide low cost spay/neuter vouchers to members of our community. By helping us fund these low cost spay/neuter vouchers, you will still be helping us to proactively continue to save lives.
