Our annual Battle of the Books brings 5th graders together to celebrate teamwork, curiosity, and a love of reading. The spirit of this year?s event at Merriweather Post Pavilion is captured in a fun design featuring the local friend who visited the event. Every purchase supports the Friends & Foundation of Howard County Library System, helping fund vital programs such as Battle of the Books, the HCLS Spelling Bee, mobile library services, author talks, Project Literacy graduation, teen programs, online homework assistance, and more. We help ensure the library continues to be a place where everyone can learn, grow, and connect.
