In the past 6 weeks, MAD Rescue has been hit with more than $20,000 in unexpected emergency veterinary bills. These are the calls no rescue wants to get?but when one of our dogs needs emergency surgery, hospitalization, diagnostics, or lifesaving treatment, we want to be able to say YES.

And emergency bills are only part of the story.

Every new dog MAD Rescue takes in also needs routine veterinary care: exams, vaccines, preventatives, testing, spay/neuter, medications, microchipping, and whatever additional care that individual dog may need. Our adoption fees don?t come close to covering the actual cost of caring for the dogs we rescue.
