The Belize Bird Conservancy has been monitoring raptor migration along the southern coastline of Belize during southbound autumn migration since 2013. This year marks the 14th year of conducting raptor migration counts at the Belize Hawk Watch!
The 2026 Belize Hawk Watch team t-shirt features a soaring Hook-billed Kite, a common sight here during fall migration! The Hook-billed Kite is our focal species at the hawk watch and the species that inspired this migration monitoring site in Belize. This year's t-shirt graphic is inspired by a photo taken of a Hook-billed Kite migrating past the count site by Isaias Morataya, a day leader at the Belize Hawk Watch. All funds and donations raised from our team t-shirt campaigns go directly toward sustaining the Belize Hawk Watch program.
